It’s not very often in astrology that we get to experience something that nobody alive has ever experienced before.
But this week is that week.
On Thursday, ♇♒ Pluto finally ends its 15-year transit of Capricorn and moves into Aquarius, for the first time since 1798.
This, many astrologers believe, marks the true beginning of the Age of Aquarius. 🎆
It is, without doubt, the most significant astrological moment of the decade - but because Pluto is a generational planet, most of us won’t even notice it happening.
You probably will notice a shift of energy if you’re a Scorpio because Pluto rules Scorpio.
Likewise, if your rising sign or Moon sign is Scorpio, you’ll feel this influence more keenly than most.
But otherwise, unless Pluto is involved in a major aspect in your natal birth chart, you will only notice this energy very, very gradually, over the coming 20 years, as Pluto sets about redefining one area of your life.
Pluto doesn’t fully settle into Aquarius until next year, due to its retrograde motion this year, but it will be enough for us to perhaps get a flavor of what lies ahead.
It’s in the nature of Pluto’s energy to destroy - but only so that something new can be created. 💣💣
With this transit being through air sign Aquarius, the focus of the destroy-create cycle will be on information. In fact, we will probably be able to define this new era with the saying that “Information is power”.
Who has access to that information, who controls it, how they control it, and how much disinformation is involved - these are key questions that will shape the coming decades.
During Pluto in Aquarius, we will likely also face issues around emerging technologies and the power that they inherently have over us.
However, with Aquarius energy also being fundamentally humanitarian in nature, we will collectively have many opportunities to help shape the future in a better way and to ensure that we do not leave people behind.
On a personal level, Pluto will transform the zone of your natal birth chart that it now enters. But before you feel that, you are more likely to notice the release of pressure in the area of your chart that Pluto has now left - so look for that first.
Although Pluto’s move into Aquarius is the most important astrological event this week, it’s not the only significant one - and the others are more likely to show up in your day-to-day life at this early stage.
We begin the week with the March Equinox on Monday. This is a moment where the equality of light and darkness across the world is deeply symbolic. It’s a point of spiritual balance that also happens to mark the beginning of a new astrological year as the Sun moves into Aries.
The following day, the New Moon in Aries is bold, courageous, and absolutely packed with potential. You can use this energy to set intentions for the rest of the year and to take the positive action you’ve been putting off so far.
And on Sunday, Mercury moves into Aries too. ☿️♈
When Mercury changes signs, we can expect to feel a rush of intellectual energy as our thinking processes speed up. With this transit, decisions are made at lightning speed - even if that does mean that we end up regretting some choices.
Impulsive decisions are often reckless, but often taking that chance is what sets us free, so this is a key opportunity for many of us.
Mercury in Aries can also lead to an increase in arguments, however, since Aries has to win at all costs.
And we would do well to remember that with any transit through Aries, passion and anger are only a hair’s breadth apart. So when Mercury is in Aries, tempers can flare very fast, and harsh words may be spoken in the heat of the moment.
Nevertheless, Mercury in Aries is a deeply invigorating transit that brings us many gifts.
Together with the other Aries influences in play this week, it’s certainly a time to be brave and bold.
After all, it’s a new era now.
Pluto in Aquarius will see to that.

FREE SPECIAL ZOOM EVENT:
Nobody alive today has experienced Pluto in any signs other than Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, or Capricorn. But that is about to change - because on March 23rd, 2023, Pluto will end its 15-year journey through Capricorn and move into Aquarius - in what some astrologers believe marks the true start of the Age of Aquarius.
It won’t fully settle into Aquarius until 2024, due to its retrograde motion in 2023, but then Pluto will stay in Aquarius for 21 years until January 2044, when it will move into Pisces. Pluto won’t return to Aquarius for nearly 250 years.
Pluto was last in Aquarius between 1778 and 1798 - a tumultuous period in history that saw the industrial revolution, the French revolution, the Enlightenment, and the ratification of the US constitution.
This time around, we can also expect upheaval in society.
