This year’s major astrological news – the rare Saturn-Pluto conjunction – occurs in your fun zone but frankly, Virgo, this is not a fun vibe. During 2020, you’ll need to think seriously about your responsibilities and perhaps ditch some of your hobbies or more pleasurable pursuits in favor of very grown-up stuff.

January begins with a Lunar Eclipse in your social zone, swiftly followed by the Saturn-Pluto conjunction, so it seems that friends may be letting you down as the year begins. With Mars transiting your family zone now, there could be hot tempers at home, too. During February, a tricky Mercury Retrograde occurs in your love zone, around the same time as argumentative Mars shifts into your creativity zone – perhaps your partner doesn’t understand your hobby or wants you to spend less time or money enjoying yourself.

It’s when serious and sober Saturn shifts into your everyday life zone in March that responsibilities really start to weigh heavily on your life. Mars arrives too, highlighting the frustration you’ll probably feel when duty calls and everything else has to take a backseat. When Pluto turns Retrograde in your creative zone in April, it’s a chance to get back to basics and to rethink what you’re trying to create, and why. Jupiter joins Pluto in Retrograde during May, while Saturn also turns Retrograde in your everyday duties zone – so while your leisure time is hampered, Virgo, your responsibilities are growing. Mars shifts into your love zone during this period, so it wouldn’t be surprising if astrological tensions spilled over into your relationship during this time.

June sees a Solar Eclipse in your social zone, plus a Lunar Eclipse in your family zone, so your place in the world is really being tested. You may feel that you can’t do anything right, as friends, family, and your partner all demand different things from you. Fortunately, Mars shifts into your resources zone in June, so you’ll be able to dig deep to find the strength you need. As a Virgo, you’re nothing if not resourceful. In July, the Sun makes a series of oppositions to the Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto combo which again reinforces the need to give up some leisure activities to make room for obligations, and another Lunar Eclipse in early July backs this up.

Things look brighter as Venus shifts into your spirituality zone in September, giving you some peace of mind and a valuable period of quiet. Mercury Retrograde in your communication zone in October is a challenge, but not one you can’t meet. Toward the end of the year, it’s time to think about how your work-life-family balance can be improved – especially following the Lunar Eclipse in your career zone in November, and a Solar Eclipse in your family zone in December. Fortunately, Jupiter arrives in your responsibilities zone in December, and makes a very constructive conjunction to Saturn, astrologically lightening your load, sharing out the responsibility and freeing up some more of your valuable time.

Love and Romance

In 2020, Virgo, your love life looks to be relatively pain-free if you’re already in an existing relationship, with several sweet periods. If you’re dating, however, be aware that the zone highlighted by the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in January also rules dating in astrology – so if you do meet someone new, they could be quite compelling, but ultimately rather karmic for you. Still, intrigue and passion are a volatile mix, Virgo, and any new romances begun this year are likely to be quite intoxicating.

Venus moves into your love zone in January, and then into your passion zone in February, so the year starts well enough in terms of love. Late February is an interesting time to be a single Virgo, as Mars arrives in your dating zone, while Venus squares up to the Saturn-Pluto conjunction – this suggests that risk-taking in love could feel irresistible. That theme continues through March too, with Venus trine to the Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto trio in March suggesting that an impulsive trip or journey could well lead to love. Try to avoid acting too impulsively in April and May, however, as Pluto turns Retrograde in your risk zone, as does Jupiter. Meanwhile, Venus Retrogrades in your career zone, so any wild card choices in romance could impact up on your working life.

Mars moves into your love zone in May, which could prompt arguments over selfishness; when Mars moves on to your intimacy zone in June, this could bring either increased passion or increased anger – or both, with a side-helping of jealousy, too. In July, the increasing sense of duty you feel – illustrated by the Sun’s opposition to the Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto combination – may quell any feelings of romance and leave you with little time for love. A Lunar Eclipse in your dating zone in early July could suggest an out-of-the-blue encounter, but don’t expect it to last.

The tone lightens during August, when Venus moves into your social zone. Whether or not you’re in a relationship, Virgo, this looks set to be a very good month for mingling and having some long-overdue fun; don’t allow your serious Virgo nature to drag you down. Jealousy could become an issue again in September, when Mars turns Retrograde in your passion zone. Avoid anything underhand during this period, as the truth will win out.

During October, Venus moves into Virgo, helping you to feel both more confident and more aware of what you need from a relationship. In late October in particular, Venus trines the Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto blend, suggesting an increased sense of self-esteem, especially in dating or a new relationship. As 2020 draws to a close, the Solar Eclipse in your family zone in December could suggest disapproval of your love life – but Venus is transiting the same area at this time as well, and will help smooth over any cracks.

Money and Career

You look set to have an on-off relationship with risk and finances during 2020. As a Virgo, you’re normally cautious with money, but the Saturn-Pluto conjunction does shake things up a bit and you’re even more unlikely to take a risk than ever before. This is especially true in January, when that rare conjunction occurs. In March, Saturn’s arrival in your astrological everyday work zone signifies that your job could become hard work, with plenty of pressure and deadlines, but as Mars comes together with the Saturn-Pluto conjunction, you have all the determination you need to be successful.

April is an interesting month for money. Pluto turns Retrograde in your risk zone, but Venus moves into your status zone, so you’ll probably want to be seen to spend money or to keep up with the neighbors. Avoid spending simply for status, especially once Venus turns Retrograde in May, with Jupiter also turning Retrograde in your risk zone around that time.

Astrology suggests that June is a good month for consolidating your finances and finding new income streams. With Mars moving into your resources zone, you’ll be adept at monetizing a hobby or finding a side hustle, driven by a desire to pay off debts or to accumulate wealth. July is a major period when risk and responsibility play off each other, due to the Sun’s opposition to the Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto trio. A Lunar Eclipse early in the month in your risk zone means it’s especially important to keep a sharp eye out in July, Virgo, and to seek expert advice when you need it.

Your income may falter a little in September, while Mars is Retrograde in your resources zone. Mid-October is a danger point for losing money. As the Sun squares up to Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto, beware of scams and get-rich-quick schemes. Venus follows suit, making the same square aspects in mid-November, when there’s also a Lunar Eclipse in your status zone – another warning against spending money you don’t really have in an attempt to look good. Nobody is fooled, Virgo.

There is plenty of good news to end the year with. In December, bountiful Jupiter moves into your everyday work zone, promising easier relationships with colleagues, more respect for what you do, and greater freedom at work. Late in the month, a conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn suggests big changes are on the way at work, and these will be very beneficial. If you’ve successfully navigated the balance between leisure and responsibility during the year, it’s in December that you’ll find the ties loosening, so you can start once again to enjoy your free time without so many restrictions.

2021 could prove to be an adventurous year for you, Virgo, with plenty of opportunities for travel, new learning and adventure. However, three rare squares in astrology between Saturn and Uranus will find you having to work very hard indeed just to tread water in your work and everyday life.

This contrast - between your desire for freedom versus your need to work hard and pay bills - kicks in almost immediately, with Mars squaring up to Saturn and Jupiter squaring up to Uranus in mid-January. The first of the Saturn-Uranus squares becomes exact in mid-February, and you may have to choose whether to take a new and expansive opportunity or whether to maintain the status quo.

In late March, a helpful Mars-Saturn trine may make life easier, Virgo, promoting your career interests while also easing stabilizing everyday details. With Mars in Gemini and in your career zone, this would be a great time to undertake new training; a Mars-Jupiter trine in mid-April also holds a prediction that work-related travel opportunities are on the way. Probably just as well, because in late April both the Sun and Venus form conjunctions with unpredictable Uranus in Taurus and in your travel zone - your itchy feet will be hard to ignore at this point.

Jupiter moves out of Aquarius and your work zone mid-May and into Pisces and your love zone; however, a Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius in your family zone on May 26th reminds you that your wanderlust affects your family too. The Solar Eclipse on June 10th is in your career zone and may force some unwelcome decisions relating to work, career and travel matters. Just days later, the second Saturn-Uranus square becomes exact, and you may have to forfeit an opportunity for the sake of stability.

Your adventure vs stability dilemma gets some help in early August, however, when Venus in your own sign of Virgo trines Uranus in your travel zone and Pluto in your creative zone, so it's possible that you may come up with some innovative ways to get the best of both worlds. In late September, when Mars and the Sun both trine Saturn from Libra and your money zone, financial pressures will ease, which again will facilitate adventure.

On October 18th, Jupiter turns direct in Aquarius, now back in your work zone, opening up fresh opportunities for you, Virgo. The Lunar Eclipse on November 19th in Taurus is in your travel and learning zone, and could bring you out-of-the-blue surprises which will help you figure out how to have it all. With the Solar Eclipse in your family zone in early December, however, it's vital that you have family on board with your decisions.

The final Saturn-Uranus square comes very late in December; by this time, however, you will hopefully have learned through the year that it is possible to break new ground while still holding true to your responsibilities. This will be your final chance for some while to practice doing just that, Virgo.

Love and Romance

It looks set to be a relatively stable year for your love life, although as you work through your adventure vs routine dilemma, you'll need to keep in mind the needs and wishes of your loved ones too.

If you are single, you may feel especially impulsive early in the year, and more romantically confident than normal. When Venus in Capricorn conjuncts Pluto in late January, in your dating zone, a sudden attraction to someone new may feel overwhelming. In an established romance, it's late February which brings the yearly feel-good factor, as Venus moves into your love zone. The second week of March has an interesting meetup between the Sun and Venus on the one hand and dreamy Neptune on the other - a good opportunity for demonstrating your love. Venus moves into Aries, the most passionate part of your astrological chart, in late March, but a Sun-Pluto square in mid-April does warn against taking too many risks in love - if you do anything illicit, it may not be as secret as you might want.

Jupiter moves into your love zone on May 13th, bringing joy, fun and cause for celebration, but the Lunar Eclipse in your family zone on May 26th highlights how easily feelings can be hurt. When Mars opposes Pluto on June 5th, you will want to be careful of mixing friendship with love. By contrast, particularly if you are single and looking for love, the Sun-Jupiter trine in late June is positive about a friendship potentially becoming something more.

Venus and Mars both opposes retrograde Jupiter in late July, highlighting potential selfishness in an existing relationship where one party is giving far too much and the other far too little. Once Mars arrives in your sign on July 29th, Virgo, you won't stand for being second best or someone's afterthought. A potentially tricky Mars-Neptune opposition in early September hints at deception in love, although as the Mars-Pluto trine a few days later suggests, you may choose to remain ignorant of it.

During October, Venus moves into your family zone, and this would be an ideal time for extended family gatherings or for getting back in touch with distant loved ones. However, the Solar Eclipse on December 5th suggests drama around the family, so take care not to offend.

An intense Venus-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn on December 11th in your risk zone repeats itself on December 25th, once Venus has turned retrograde - so the holiday season could be fraught if passions are running high. The last of the Saturn-Uranus squares in astrology is activated during this period too, so misunderstandings between your and your lover over work or travel plans may be behind the discord. However, in the last days of 2021, Jupiter returns to your love zone, where it will stay for some time, so you end the year on a note of joyous optimism in love.

Money and Career

With lots of opportunities to learn new skills, 2021 could prove to be a decisive year for your career - but it depends on whether or not you can keep up with an intensely demanding work schedule. Signs of overload appear early in January and a Mars-Uranus conjunction in Taurus, in your travel and freedom zone, on January 20th hints at a desire to throw it all in. You'll find the first Saturn-Uranus square in mid-February difficult to handle, as it holds a prediction that you'll face a difficult choice between opportunity and responsibility.

With Mars moving into your career zone in early March, however, you have the will and the skill to cope, and there are positive astrological aspects too, such as the stabilizing Mars-Saturn trine on March 22nd. Another very promising sign is the Mars-Jupiter trine in mid-April, which gives the go-ahead for a new project or a new way of working.

Watch out for Mercury turning retrograde in your career zone in late May, however, as this will make it more difficult for you to sell your skills. The Lunar Eclipse on May 26th and the following Solar Eclipse on June 10th suggest problems with your work-life balance, or unease within the family about your career progression - not helpful, coming as it does just days before the second round of Saturn square Uranus. Take time over July and August to really focus on where you want to head, work-wise, and how you intend to get there. A boldly creative Mars-Pluto trine in early September may help you with that too.

In mid-September, Mars shifts into your money zone and helps to drive your income up. However, Mercury also turns retrograde here later in the month, at which time you will need to seek professional advice over finances - don't leave anything to chance. Some impulsive spending is possible in early October when the Sun conjuncts Mars in your money zone, but you must avoid taking financial risks between October 19th and 22nd, when Mars squares up to Pluto in your risk zone.

Jupiter turns direct in Aquarius and in your working zone on October 18th, which is a breath of fresh air. Training opportunities are likely in early-mid November, but you may lack the confidence to take them, buffeted as you are by Mars square Saturn and the Sun square Jupiter. The Lunar Eclipse in your higher education zone on November 19th shows you a future that might be possible with more investment in your skills - food for thought.

Look out for a highly creative idea when Venus conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn in your risk zone on December 11th - but you will need to act quickly if you're to take advantage of this, business-wise. During the holiday period, the final Saturn-Uranus square takes effect, and you may struggle once more with the concept of opportunity versus stability. Once this influence has cleared, however, you should be able to face 2022 with a much clearer mind and a better idea of where you want to head.

There’s a lot of personal growth on the way for you during 2022, Virgo, as you are challenged to seek new learning or to outgrow your old worldview. There’s also a focus on emotional abundance and greater passion.

If you’re single, astrology suggests that January is a very interesting time for dating someone new. The Super New Moon in your dating zone on January 2nd is promising, although once Mars changes sign on January 24th you’ll need to be careful not to be too pushy – most unlike you!

In an existing relationship, the Jupiter-Uranus sextile on February 17th is uplifting and meaningful; it’s time to grow together, through travel, new experiences and new ideas. The New Moon in your love zone on March 2nd is a good time to start; by the time the Full Moon shines from Virgo on March 18th, you will already have made memories.

The rare and magical Jupiter-Neptune conjunction occurs in your love zone on April 12th, encouraging you to explore your karmic links and soul attractions; a few days later, however, Mars’ arrival in this area of your natal birth chart could hint at disagreements and fights.

April 30th sees a potent Solar Eclipse in your adventure zone; you may suddenly realize that you are stuck in a rut, or you may have to defend your opinions against a backlash. With Jupiter changing signs on May 10th, your emotions will become much more open and flowing – this is a great period for therapy and self-help, Virgo, as well as for greater intimacy with your partner. The Lunar Eclipse on May 16th urges you to get beyond what you think you know; you are growing intellectually as well as spiritually.

Some of these changes and challenges in astrology are nerve-wracking, Virgo, so May and June could feel rather edgy. However, a Super Full Moon in your risk zone floods you with bravery on July 13th, enabling you to grow in confidence over the following six weeks until the Virgo New Moon on August 27th, which sees a whole new you ready to emerge.

In early September a complex T-square challenges your identity in terms of who you are, who you choose to be with and which career you choose to follow. Mercury is retrograde in your sign in late September, so muddled thinking confuses the issues. By the time of the next Solar Eclipse on October 25th, you may well have realized that you need to rethink your priorities and beliefs. A few days later, Jupiter retrograde re-enters your love zone, while Mars starts backward motion in your career zone – ahead of the Lunar Eclipse on November 8th you are being asked to focus purely on your values, principles and outdated worldview.

Again, this could be uncomfortable, but you sense that you must do the necessary inner work to open up further emotional abundance. Persevere and challenge your own thinking.

Once Jupiter turns direct in your love zone on November 23rd, you will feel calmer, better supported and more loved.

Love and Romance

There is a deeply spiritual vibe surrounding your love life this year, courtesy largely of philosophical Jupiter.

If you are single, make the most of January – a Super New Moon in your dating zone on January 2nd is a hugely exciting influence, for example. Do be aware, however, that with Mercury retrograde in this area of your natal birth chart in late January, you may not be giving others the impression you think you’re giving.

Jupiter’s first impact on your romantic life comes on February 17th in an electrifying sextile to Uranus, the planet of shocks and surprises. This aspect links the areas representing love and travel in your natal birth chart, so who knows what might happen if you’re abroad or meeting people of other countries and cultures!

Certainly, the New Moon in your love zone on March 2nd is a happy occasion, and Venus’ sign change on April 5th adds to the romantic vibe and harmonious astrological weather.

On April 12th, in a rare and supremely spiritual conjunction, Jupiter and Neptune combine to sprinkle karmic fairy dust over your closest relationship. Look into karmic and soul-level links with your partner – or perhaps with someone else you feel irresistibly drawn to at this time.

This year’s Eclipses don’t have much of a direct impact on your love life, but the Solar Eclipse on April 30th hints at more travel-related surprises or developments – definitely bear this in mind if you are in a long-distance relationship. A few days later on May 3rd, Jupiter sextiles Pluto in a potentially intoxicating influence on the sex and romance areas of your natal birth chart; just be aware that if you are going to play with fire, Virgo, you may get burned.

On May 10th, Jupiter advances into your passion and intimacy zone, clearing the way for wonderful sensual interactions and many happy memories. If you’re in a long-term relationship, you’ll also enjoy the Super Full Moon in your family zone on June 14th, and the one after that too, on July 13th, which falls in your flirting and fun zone.

August is typically a significant month in your love life in terms of astrology; this year, the Virgo New Moon on August 27th is followed a few days later by Venus moving into your sign, making this a very good time for dating, weddings or healing a relationship that may have been on the rocks.

Look out for a tense T-square in early October that pits your love life against your career, trapping you firmly in a battle it’s very hard to win. The Solar Eclipse on October 25th shows you the importance of communication in your love life; on the 28th, retrograde Jupiter moves backward to revisit your romance zone, quietening things down and giving you a chance to reflect.

Remember the spiritual connection you discovered with your partner in April? Hold onto that through a slightly bumpy November in astrology and another Lunar Eclipse. By November 23rd, when joyful Jupiter turns direct, you will be able to breathe a sigh of relief and move forward in love once more.

Money and Career

Astrology suggests that your career path is relatively stable this year, Virgo, although the Eclipse cycle does emphasize how you are outgrowing some areas of knowledge – so potentially you may also be outgrowing your job.

To begin with, however, your concerns are more mundane. Colleagues may be difficult to handle in mid-January when Mercury turns retrograde; the arrival of Mars in the most reckless area of your natal birth chart on January 24th doesn’t help, as you are likely to speak first and worry about the consequences later. Nevertheless, a New Moon in the colleagues area of your chart on February 1st smooths things over.

It’s the rare and important Jupiter-Neptune conjunction on April 12th that may create waves in your career. This occurs in the area of your chart that is primarily concerned with love, but it also represents business interests and partnerships, so if you are self-employed or freelance, this is an opportunity to really connect with new clients on an almost psychic or karmic level. Mars moves into this chart sector two days later, so your business ambitions are strong and backed by real talent at this time.

April 30th is a Solar Eclipse in your education zone; something may happen around this time that highlights a need for further training or education in your profession, whether you really fancy that or not. With Jupiter moving into the emotional abundance area of your natal birth chart on May 10th, at the same time as Mercury turns retrograde in your career zone, you may want to re-think your target market or work on how you connect with others via social media.

May 16th brings a Lunar Eclipse again connected to outdated ideas or learning. Given that the New Moon on May 30th emerges from your career zone, Virgo, astrology suggests this is an excellent period for a fresh start.

Late spring and early summer in the Northern Hemisphere are astrologically quiet for your career and finances; it’s not really until August 20th, as Mars changes signs to focus on your ambitions, that you will start to feel a true sense of direction and drive. The emotional Virgo New Moon on August 27th could mark a turning point in how you see yourself, which in turn could drive up your income ahead of the New Moon in your money zone on September 25th. During late September, however, Mercury is retrograde in Virgo, so check any financial details very carefully.

On October 25th and November 8th respectively, another Solar Eclipse and Lunar Eclipse demand that you shift your opinions, your beliefs and your way of doing things. In the middle of this period, on October 30th, Mars turns retrograde in your career zone until the end of the year – this may be a good time to reassess your priorities and your direction of travel.

Jupiter arrives back in your emotional abundance zone on December 20th, so this Northern Hemisphere mid-winter period is a very good time to work on manifestation and your emotional connection to your material goals.
